HOPE FOR THE CHILDREN is a non-profit charitable organization. Our mission is to reach out to needy children and their families, providing them with food, clothing, and medical supplies - the basic necessities of life. All of this is made possible by your generous donations.

Three organizations work hand in hand to achieve mutual goals: Hope for the Children, Operations Sititches, and Stitches Cottage. All are currently located in Orange County and all are committed to reaching those who are forgotten and helpless...children living in the gang-infested areas of our inner-cities.

WHO WE ARE
In 1993 Operation HOPE FOR THE CHILDREN was founded with a goal to reach the unreachable - children living in gang-infested inner cities. What began as a 30-day campaign turned into a national outreach that spawned 23 independent Operation HOPE FOR THE CHILDREN outreaches.

Today, the vision of founders Dwight and Zonelle Thompson enables us to go beyond traditional boundaries, reaching into our own "back yards", where we can help both children and their families. For in every American city children need to know that someone cares for them and that whatever their situation is, it's not hopeless.

WHAT WE DO
HOPE FOR THE CHILDREN is a non-profit charitable organization that accepts and then distributes donations to the needy. Working in conjunction with Operation Stitches we hold well-advertised events in community parks. There we present musical performances, puppet shows, lively entertainers and guest speakers, followed by a message of hope. Then we distribute our supplies to the needy.

HOW YOU CAN GET INVOLVED
1. We accept donations of both new and used products, food and clothing, as well as services and financial support. We auction many donated items through eBay and use the money to purchase supplies needed by children and their familes.

2. Operation HOPE FOR THE CHILDREN can provide you with all the necessary tools, resources and training to start your own children's outreach. We'll also show how targeted outreach programs, with food, clothing, and back-to-school supplies, enable you to reach entire communities. Through our resource materials, you will learn how to contact local companies to procure the resources you need to supply your outreach.

WHY WE CARE
If you've ever been hungry, if you've ever felt hopeless or discouraged, then maybe you can understand why we have such great compassion for these children and their families.
